The Voice speaks in Silence because we need to make space for it—clear the beats between one pulse and the next in order to fall into the glory that is beyond us.
Sometimes a place calls us to silence.
There is a view of the Manhattan skyline across the Hudson River that is more breathtaking than any photo on a postcard could convey.
I stood there this summer for nearly an hour at dusk, watching the light change from a silvery grey to pastel pink to almost rose gold. I watched as tiny boats sailed past—the scale of each one infinitesimally small compared to the skyscrapers standing shoulder to shoulder, made of shimmering glass.
One man in a business suit, getting off the ferry, turned and stood silently for a few moments looking across the water. I asked if he was visiting. He smiled and said “No, I live here full time. And the truth is I never get enough of seeing this view.”
The two of us stood there—summoning something—swathed in something—thankful for it all.
After a few more moments I felt the Voice was saying to me– in words more sensed than spoken…
” I love this city too. I light the sky in colors your eyes can barely receive purely for your enjoyment. And I also want you to know that the works of humankind can be glorious.” There was a pause and then in parting I heard “We believe in you,” as one by one tiny specks of light began to shine from that master mosaic skyline—
The one that faces
The Statue of Liberty.

Making space in our lives and schedules for silence is not easy. Reflecting, meditating and focusing on your purpose and reason for being on this planet gets pushed to the back burner for a later season. A different time. I know this to be true. My team and I have prepared this year for a new season, a new place to live and be and walk into our place of silence. I teach about how this place is generally found in wonder, the wonderful what ifs, and the awe of each day that we have to live and express our truest design.
There will be opportunities this year to capture your knowingness with me and my team. For those looking to move from the noise around you into a deep searching and understanding of ‘who am I’ and how do I find my voice, we are here to guide and be led into new beginnings on new journeys.
