Recently I came across this definition of torque, brought about by a discussion with an automobile enthusiast friend of mine. Apparently this saying among race car drivers explains it best.
“Under steering is when your rear end hits the wall.
Oversteering is when your front end hits the wall.
Horsepower is how hard you hit the wall, and
Torque is how far you carry the wall once you hit it.”
That definition made me laugh out loud.
It also made me wonder:
How much torque do you and I have when we encounter an obstacle?
Maybe “torque” is another word for “grit.”
And maybe “grit” is another word for “faith.”
